Every major cloud platform.
Policy-based backup across your cloud estate — with recovery options that go far beyond native cloud snapshots, and storage that lives outside your cloud account.
Amazon Web Services
- EC2 instances (all instance families)
- RDS databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle)
- EFS and EBS volumes
- S3 bucket replication
Microsoft Azure
- Azure Virtual Machines
- Azure SQL Database & Managed Instance
- Azure Files and Blob Storage
- Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
Google Cloud
- Compute Engine VMs
- Cloud SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server)
- Persistent Disk volumes
- Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE)
Cloud snapshots are not a backup strategy.
Native snapshots live in the same account.
An account-level compromise — compromised credentials, a misconfigured IAM policy, or a ransomware payload — can delete your AWS snapshots as easily as your production data. Storage in the same account is not independent protection.
Cloud providers do not protect against your mistakes.
Accidental deletion, script errors, and configuration drift are not covered by any cloud SLA. The provider guarantees infrastructure availability — what happens to your data inside it is your responsibility.
Cross-region snapshots still share your blast radius.
Replicating snapshots to another region within the same account reduces geographic risk — not account-level risk. IronFell stores backup data in a completely separate environment, managed under a separate service agreement.
Built for cloud environments.
Policy-Based Automation
Tag-driven backup policies apply automatically as new workloads are created. No manual job configuration per instance.
Immutable Off-Account Storage
Backup data is written to IronFell-managed storage outside your cloud account with object-lock immutability enabled.
Cross-Cloud Recovery
Recover AWS workloads to Azure, or Azure VMs to AWS. Avoid cloud vendor lock-in at the recovery layer.
Rapid Restore
Instant recovery options for supported workloads — restore a running instance in minutes from any recovery point.
Cost Visibility
Storage consumption reporting per workload and per cloud account. Understand your backup costs before your cloud bill arrives.
Encryption & Key Management
AES-256 encryption at rest and in transit. Option to bring your own encryption keys for environments with strict key control requirements.
Choose your level of cover.
Pick the level of IronFell management you need. Tiers differ on who watches and recovers your backups — and how fast recovery is guaranteed.
Every plan includes immutable ransomware-proof backups, AES-256 encryption, choice of region (UK, EU or US; EU Sovereign / on-prem on request), an isolated recovery vault, full self-service portal, instant failure alerts, and setup kept running by IronFell. SaaS plans include unlimited storage*; infrastructure storage is sized to your environment.
